EXTRA-CURRICULAR PROGRAMS

SPORTS AND GAMES

A Bright mind lives in a healthy body, and being healthy is more than being disease free but means the whole well being of the body and the environment.

At Shalom Christian Academy, all these factors are considered. On addition to the curriculum program and class work, pupils are given ample time to exercise themselves mentally and physically.

This rare arrangement, allows children to be innovative, to feel a sense of independence and purpose. Games like football, netball, athletics, music, dance and drama are the majors ones done in school. With time new games like basketball, scrabble, table tennis, squash, etc... will be introduced in the school to keep the pupils busy and help them get more interested in schooling.

Through sports and games is one of the strategies we use to develop the pupils' talents and skills.

The school has several activities carried out such as;

Sports

In sports we have football, netball, volleyball, athletics and other kids games.

Students participate in the zonal schools athletics competitions 2008.

Music, dance and drama.

The school children are involved in music, dance and drama besides other activities carried out in school.

Pupils at Shalom Christian Academy perfom a drama on child abuse and neglect.
