How we started and where we are

 

OUR HISTORY AND PRESENT

How we started and where we are. 

Shalom Christian academy started in 2005 in a humble way. We started our classes in trees and some of the students used to sit on the ground without furniture in school. During rainy seasons the school used to be closed for sometime, since it was hard for the Teachers to teach under trees.

This semi permanent structure used to have 2 classrooms.

  

SHALOM CHRISTIAN ACADEMY IN 2006

In 2006 the conditions improved when we constructed a better semi permanent structure with poles and iron sheets roof. This structure had 4 classrooms and a small store.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SHALOM CHRISTIAN ACADEMY IN 2007.

In 2007 Fields of Life, supported the school by constructing 7 classrooms, an office, staffroom, and a toilet with 10 rooms.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Project for 2008 - Girls' Dormitory construction.

Shalom Christian Academy was established to serve the poor and orphaned children in the community where it is based and beyond. But this cannot be accomplished to help children that live many miles away from our school. Therefore, we have started to construct dormitories which will accommodate the children from distant places. Our preference will be given to children from child headed and granny headed families.

Children will be accommodated to be able to access quality education and better living conditions.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

God willing, this project will be finished by December 2008. Our urgent need is to equip these dormitories with beds, mattresses, bedsheets for the children. Any support towards this is highly welcome.

Planned projects for 2009 - 2010.

We have planned to construct;

* Boys dormitory.

* Teachers' houses

* A dinning room.

* A clinic

We have not secured any support for 2009 - 2010 projects. We kindly appeal for support towards these projects, to enable us offer quality education to the students that come to our school. Please feel free to contact us.
